Spec first, then a fixed price

A 30–60 minute call, then a one- to two-page spec: what it does, what it doesn't, edge cases, how it's tested. You approve, we quote fixed. Anything beyond the spec is quoted before it's built.

Engineering

A proper plugin: namespaced, activation/deactivation handled, settings in the admin, no theme dependency
WooCommerce hooks and data stores used the way WooCommerce intends — so core updates don't break it (HPOS-compatible from day one)
Background jobs via Action Scheduler for anything slow (syncs, exports), never on page load
Idempotent API integrations with retries, logging and an admin view of what synced and what failed
Automated tests for the logic that costs money if wrong (pricing, VAT, stock)
