Your WordPress site, three times faster — measured, not promised

Google's own data: as page load goes from 1 s to 3 s, bounce probability rises 32 %. For a shop, every 100 ms of added load time costs about 1 % of conversion. And since Core Web Vitals became a ranking signal, a slow site quietly loses positions to faster competitors on the same keywords.

Most WordPress slowness has the same handful of causes, in this order:

1. A page builder shipping 300–600 KB of CSS/JS on every page
2. Too many plugins, each loading its own scripts globally
3. Unoptimised images — 2 MB JPEGs where a 90 KB WebP would do
4. No caching worth the name — no full-page cache, no object cache, no CDN
5. Render-blocking third parties — chat widgets, tag managers, fonts from three sources
6. Cheap shared hosting with slow PHP and MySQL
7. Bloated database — post revisions, transients, abandoned carts, orphaned meta

We fix them in that order, because that's where the milliseconds are.

Audit (included)

Lighthouse and WebPageTest on your five most important pages, CrUX real-user data from Search Console, a plugin-by-plugin cost breakdown, and a written plan with predicted gains. If the honest answer is "your theme needs replacing", we say so and quote that instead.

Front end

• Remove or scope plugin assets to the pages that need them
• Critical CSS inlined, remaining CSS deferred, unused CSS removed
• JavaScript deferred or delayed until interaction; third parties loaded after consent and after first paint
• Fonts self-hosted, subsetted, font-display: swap; usually down to two families
• Images converted to WebP/AVIF, correctly sized, srcset and lazy loading; explicit dimensions to kill layout shift
• Preconnect/preload for the resources that actually matter

Server and caching

• Full-page cache with correct exclusions for cart, checkout, account
• Object cache (Redis) for WooCommerce sessions and queries
• CDN (Cloudflare or host's) with proper cache rules
• PHP 8.x with OPcache, HTTP/2 or 3, Brotli
• Hosting recommendation if the server is the bottleneck

WooCommerce-specific

• Cart fragments AJAX disabled where not needed
• Product query and filter optimisation; indexes added for large catalogues
• Checkout scripts trimmed to essentials
• Scheduled actions and abandoned-cart cleanup
• Heavy plugins replaced with lighter equivalents where the client agrees

Database

• Revision limits, transient cleanup, orphan meta removed, table optimisation
• Autoload options trimmed — a common invisible cause of slow admin pages
